Board Corner: Report from URMIA's Affiliates Committee
By Marjorie F.B. Lemmon, ARM, CPCU, CRM, Risk Manager at Yale University and board liaison for the URMIA Affiliates Committee
As part of my role as URMIA's president-elect, I have the privilege of being the liaison from the URMIA Board of Directors to the Affiliates Committee. This committee is made up of one of our most important member types. Our affiliates are not simply our service providers and the financial sponsors of URMIA's many initiatives: they are true supporters of URMIA and are dedicated to the development of our Institutional Members and the success of the organization. The committee is being chaired for the second year by Jane Dickerson, senior vice president at Risk Strategies Company and one of URMIA's biggest champions, and she is joined by a group of members who are equally tireless, supportive, and, frankly, just plain fun to be around!
