Speaker/Moderator Guide

Presentation Deadline is 8/1/19

Presentations that are not received by August 1, 2019 will be removed from the conference program.

Please follow these instructions on how to upload your final presentation. The moderator for your session will review the presentation/handouts and may provide feedback directly to you by August 15. The final presentations must be posted by September 3 for attendee access.


Presentation Requirements

  • Use URMIA's PowerPoint presentation template.
  • Do not sell or promote a business or product in your presentation.
  • Provide sufficient information in your PowerPoint slides, notes and handouts for non-attendees to benefit. Audio of your session may be recorded and shared with conference attendees to accompany these.
  • Please adhere to all guidelines in the speaker agreement.
  • Bring to the conference a backup of your final presentation file and handouts on a USB drive.

Speaker Registration

Register Yourself Online

Speakers will be responsible for registering for the conference. If speaker is attending only to present their session and no other part of the conference, then registration is not necessary. Please note, unregistered speakers will not have any registration materials including a name badge and will not be permitted to any other session or conference meal/event. Speaker will not receive any royalties, honorarium, reimbursement of expenses, or other compensation from URMIA in connection with the conference.

Reserve Accommodations Early

You are responsible for your own hotel reservations and travel expenses. Questions can be directed to the URMIA National Office.


Audiovisual Equipment

Each room will have a podium, computer, projector, screen, one wireless lavaliere microphone, one wired microphone and a table with two chairs. If your needs differ, speakers must communicate this to your assigned moderator.

Moderators

A moderator will be assigned to each session and noted in the session descriptions. This volunteer will contact speakers before the conference, as well as serve as the onsite support person for the session.
