Anita Ingram

It's springtime once again and the ice and snow has finally melted! Mother Nature has not been kind to some of us this year for it seemed as if winter would just...not...go...away. With that said, time marches on. We are all probably knee deep in the midst of renewals, last quarter budget projections, impending graduations, and summer camp preparations as we keep an eye on that all-important May 1st deadline. This is the deadline where the CFO, controller and admissions folks all breath a collective sigh of relief as our incoming class of 2018 pay fall deposits and commit their precious resources to us for at least the next four years. After all that, if you're lucky, you might even have some personal vacation plans on the not-too-distant horizon.

Board Corner: Report From URMIA's International Committee

International Board Report

By Lisa Zimmaro, Esq., Assistant Vice President, Risk Management & Treasury at Temple University and Adjunct Faculty member at Temple's Fox School of Business teaching Risk Management & Insurance.

As a new URMIA Board Member, I am delighted to highlight the activities of the International Committee (IC). I have been a member of the IC for a few years and now I am also the board liaison. Working under the direction of co-chairs Kathy Hargis and Jean Demchak, the role of the IC is to expand outside URMIA’s domestic borders and to build alliances with international partners that influence risk management practices internationally. The IC looks to explore and expand opportunities to represent URMIA internationally as thought leaders, support an increase in the international membership and continue to enhance URMIA’s library with relevant international content.
