Sue Liden serves as Education Manager for the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA), where she curates professional development opportunities and offers risk solution resources for its members. She retired at the end of 2022 as the Director of Risk Services at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She worked as the university’s risk manager since 2008. Mrs. Liden has been a member of URMIA since 2008 and has served on various committees to include membership, finance and annual conference committees. She served as the Secretary for URMIA's Board of Directors from 2017-2021. She also served on the Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. (EIIA) Advisory Council and as a Trustee for the EIIA Student Trust and she served on the United Educators Risk Management Advisory Committee. In 2021 she was named by URMIA as a "Distinguished Risk Manager."
