F. “Joe” Mazur III has nearly 25 years of experience in public higher education and in the 28-member Florida College System (FCS). He began his career as an accountant at the Florida Prepaid College program and then moved to positions at Florida Southwestern State College, Indian River State College, and College of Central Florida. During that time, he also worked at a public accounting firm before returning to the FCS. Most recently, he serves as vice president and chief financial officer of Seminole State College of Florida.
Joe is an active member of URMIA, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and the Florida College System Council of Business Affairs (COBA), where he served as the council chair.
Joe earned his Associate in Arts degree from Palm Beach State College. He also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is an actively licensed certified public accountant and certified by the College Business Management Institute.
