Robert Young is a Senior Consultant / Senior Account Engineer, with over 35 years of Property Risk Control experience. Duties include conducting loss control surveys for accounts/clients located in the Midwest and Canada. He also serves as Senior Account Engineer for a number of TÜV SÜD GRC Accounts. During this period, Mr. Young developed working relationships with all levels of management, both at the local facility level as well as the account/corporate level. This included work with Corporate Risk Managers as well as direct involvement with other insurance engineers, brokers and underwriters.
Prior to joining TÜV SÜD GRC, Mr. Young was an Engineering Specialist for nearly 23 years with Factory Mutual and FM Global. For much of that time, he was a Resident Engineer working out of the Fargo, ND area. In that role, he was responsible for organizing and managing the workload in the North Dakota, South Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota area. This included being involved with loss control assessments and plan review / project management at a very broad range of occupancies and TIV’s.
Mr. Young has completed work in for higher education, healthcare, grain industry, telecommunications, warehousing/distribution, woodworking and other food processing occupancies. He also completed specialist work in the areas of combustible dusts, floods and other natural hazards.
Mr. Young is a graduate of North Dakota State University – Fargo, ND, with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering.
