Bio

Rob Wells is the Director for the Office of Risk Management at Old Dominion University and has over 27 years’ experience in the risk management, safety, and compliance. In this role, he is responsible for enterprise risk management, compliance and oversight of property/liability insurance and claims processes. In addition, he leads the Accident Review Committee, oversee the campus UAS/Drone policy, Minors on Campus Policy, and the Travel Policy. He also leads the initiative to implement Enterprise Risk Management adoption across the campus. He leads the university’s Compliance Advisory Committee, University Travel Oversight Committee, is a member of the University’s International Incident Coordination Group, as well as its Emergency Management Advisory Committee. Rob has a BA in Business from Lynchburg College (now the University of Lynchburg) and an MBA from Liberty University. He holds the CPCU designation from The American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters.
