There have been several interesting situations, but I think the most recent was the COVID pandemic and moving the company and employees from in-office to a remote company within 1-2 weeks while trying to balance the needs of our several hundred university clients and their students going through the similar issues
The largest losses remain in certain key areas, including but not strictly limited to the following: Sexual misconduct COVID-19 Accidents and crimes resulting in death Discrimination (large losses involved staff and gender-based discrimination in terms of termination) Injuries not resulting in death v This is a partial list, but it demonstrates that being a risk manager in today’s higher education environment is complex
