With an insurance career dating to 1998, Bret oversees Risk Strategies National Higher Education Practice. Prior to joining Risk Strategies, he was Director of Risk Management & Insurance for Tufts University. He is active in URMIA and has also served on United Educators’ Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC). Bret also holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Before his role at Tufts, Bret worked for ten years in the Risk Management Department at RELX, the parent company of LexisNexis, Elsevier Science, Reed Business Information, and Reed Exhibitions Company.
Bret is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, with a dual-degree in history and political science, earned his Masters of Administrative Studies from Boston College, a Juris Doctor from New England Law Boston, and is a licensed attorney. Bret also served on his town’s Board of Selectmen for six years.
