As President of Strategic Risk Frameworks, LLC, (www.strategicriskframeworks.com) Ellen provides innovative solutions for clients focusing on strategic risk management, cybersecurity and technology and resilience/crisis management. Having over two decades of experience in higher education risk management at both private and public entities, she supports risk managers in achieving their goals through a creative, objective, and comprehensive manner.
Ellen is a a Distinguished Risk Manager and a former president, board member, and committee chair for URMIA. Previously, she was the Associate Vice President and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Southern Methodist University; CRO for the Oregon University System, Director of Risk Management for the University of Denver and was Database/BCP manager at Georgetown University. She holds degrees from the University of Denver (MS Finance), and Purdue University (BS), and holds the ARM designation. She is also a past chair for the RIMS annual conference committee.
