Jeff has been in the insurance field for 27 years, with positions in marketing, production, and leading teams as a commercial lines underwriting manager and property claims executive. Jeff enjoys continuous learning and holds several insurance designations, including Associate in Reinsurance, Claims Management, Insurance Delivery Services, Data and Analytics and his CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter). In 2019 Jeff presided over the 550 member Boston CPCU Chapter, leading them to Platinum level honors. Jeff has assisted in coaching and mentoring students at area colleges and designed a masters-level insurance course at Northeastern University on data and analytics for claims management. In 2024, he married his passion for education with insurance and now works within the Office of Insurance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. In his role there, he takes the lead on complicated and severe property claims, conducts risk management discussions and looks for ways to strengthen MIT's resilience to institution-wide risks. He is currently pursuing his Associate in Risk Management designation, and enjoys presenting at the local, regional and national levels. For fun, Jeff enjoys traveling, cooking, woodworking, and hiking. His other passion is spending time with his 85 lb Bernedoodle, Emmy.
