Donna Settle specializes in commercial property risk engineering, with a strong focus on education and research campuses, healthcare systems, and other complex, multi‑site organizations, as well as manufacturing, storage, and logistics operations, including cold storage. Donna provides property risk engineering services and strategic advisory support for global clients with high‑challenge occupancies and diverse exposures. She works closely with institutional stakeholders to translate technical risk insights into practical, actionable strategies that support resilience, continuity, and long‑term insurability. In her role, Donna frequently acts as a liaison between clients and property insurance carrier engineers to align priorities and support the stability of property insurance programs. Donna began her career as a facilities engineer in 1993, providing her with a firsthand understanding of operational, maintenance, and capital‑planning constraints faced by organizations over the life of their facilities. She joined Gallagher in 2020 and has previously worked with Rockwell Space Operations, Factory Mutual Engineering (FM), Zurich, and Marsh, holding roles ranging from design engineer to risk engineer and engineering flood specialist. Her experience spans property loss prevention, risk and exposure analysis, loss investigation, and civil site and roadway design. Donna earned her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Lamar University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas. In addition to URMIA and PRIMA, she is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
