Sue Liden served as Education Manager for the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA) from 2023-2025, where she curated professional development opportunities and offered risk solution resources for its members. She retired at the end of 2022 as the Director of Risk Services at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She worked as the university’s risk manager since 2008. Mrs. Liden has been a member of URMIA since 2008 and has served on various committees to include membership, finance and annual conference committees. She served as the Secretary for URMIA's Board of Directors from 2017-2021. She also served on the EIIA Advisory Council and as a Trustee for the EIIA Student Trust and she served on the United Educators Risk Management Advisory Committee. In 2021 she was named by URMIA as a "Distinguished Risk Manager."
