Registration Policies

URMIA's Virtual Spring Conference Logo


All attendees of this University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) virtual spring conference agree to comply with all rules and conditions of URMIA and the conference, all rules in correspondence regarding the conference, and general standards of professional conduct, including adherence to URMIA’s Event Safety & Responsibility Policy.

Attendees must register in advance with their actual name and organization for admission to conference activities. Please do not share links. Logins are closely monitored to prevent unauthorized persons from participating in the event. Registration may not be used for advertising, promotions, giveaways, sweepstakes, or other trade purposes without the express written consent of URMIA. If you have questions about any of URMIA’s policies, please contact URMIA.


Payment Policy

Online registration requires full payment by credit card or electronic check through our secure payment processor.

If you cannot make an immediate payment, contact the National Office to register. All invoices must be paid in full prior to the event you are attending. We recommend that you mail checks made payable to URMIA at least 20 days in advance. Send to:

If URMIA must cancel this conference for any reason, liability is limited to paid registration fees. Payments to URMIA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.


Cancellation Policy

Because the conference will be recorded and available to registrants for a period following live sessions, no refunds will be provided.



Substitution Policy

Registration substitutions are allowed at any time. Send the name of the original registrant and the substitute attendee's name and contact information to the URMIA National Office.


No Solicitation Policy

Registrants may not send bulk e-mail or mass solicitations to URMIA conference attendees. The online community for conference attendees may not be used to market or sell products or services. Attendees are encouraged to use the online community to ask questions, share ideas, connect with each other and coordinate activities that do not compete with URMIA programming.


Appearance Release

Photographs, audio recordings, and videos may be captured by URMIA or its agents and employees during the conference. By registering for this event, attendees grant permission to URMIA to utilize any such photographs, audio recordings, and videos for commercial and promotional purposes, in any medium or context now known or later developed, without further authorization. Attendee shall have no right of approval, no claim to financial compensation, and no other claim arising out of such use of the attendee’s name, likeness, image, voice, statements, and/or surroundings.


Accessibility

We will do our best to accommodate persons with disabilities by ensuring access to all association-sponsored educational programs and social activities. If you require special accommodations, please contact URMIA as soon as you can. Also, please list required accommodations when prompted for accessibility needs during online registration.


No Unauthorized Recording

Conference attendees may not under any circumstances conduct any live or recorded audio, video or photographic activities without the express permission of URMIA’s executive director.

 


Acknowledgement Required

Acknowledgement of these terms is required for registration. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and accept all terms set forth in these policies. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the terms, please contact URMIA's executive director.
