Registration Policies

Terms of Agreement

All attendees of a University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) conference agree to comply with all rules and conditions of URMIA and the conference, all rules in correspondence regarding the conference, all rules that are posted onsite at the meeting and general standards of professional conduct including adherence to URMIA’s Event Safety & Responsibility Policy. Attendees of any conference activity must wear the official name badge. Name badges are required for admission to all events. Badges are closely monitored to prevent unauthorized persons from participating in the event. Registration may not be used for advertising, promotions, giveaways, sweepstakes or other trade purposes without express written consent of URMIA.


Cancellation Policy

Registrant requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to URMIA.

  • Tours and baseball tickets are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations before August 1, 2019 are entitled to a full refund, excluding non-refundable activities.

  • Cancellations between August 1 and September 3 are entitled to a full refund minus a $100 processing fee, per registrant, excluding non-refundable activities.

  • After September 4, 2019, no refunds will be granted for cancellations.


Substitution Policy

Registration substitutions are allowed at any time. Send the name of the registrant and substitute attendee's name and contact information to the URMIA National Office.


Accessibility

We will do our best to accommodate persons with disabilities by ensuring access to all association-sponsored educational programs and social activities. If you require special accommodations, please contact URMIA as soon as you can. Also, please list required accommodations when prompted for accessibility needs during online registration.


No Solicitation Policy

Registrants will not send bulk email or mass solicitations to URMIA conference attendees. The online community for conference attendees may not be used to market or sell products or services. Attendees are encouraged to use the online community to ask questions, share ideas, connect with each other and coordinate activities that do not compete with URMIA programming.

Payment Policy

Online registration offers secure payment processing for credit card and electronic checks.

All invoices must be paid in full by September 3, 2019. Checks made payable to URMIA should be sent to:

If URMIA must cancel this conference for any reason, liability is limited to the registration fees paid only. URMIA is not responsible for other expenses incurred, including travel and accommodation fees. Payments to URMIA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.


Appearance Release

Photographs, audio recordings, and videos may be taken onsite by URMIA or its agents and employees during the event. By registering for this meeting, attendees grant permission to URMIA to utilize any such photographs, audio recordings, and videos taken onsite, including the attendee's name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and surroundings, for commercial or promotional purposes, in any medium or context now known or later developed, without further authorization. Attendee shall have no right of approval, no claim to financial compensation, and no other claim arising out of such use of the attendee’s name, likeness, image, voice, statements, and/or surroundings.

No unauthorized recording. Annual Conference attendees may not under any circumstances conduct any live or recorded audio, video or photographic activities without the express permission of the Executive Director.
