May I Make Changes to My Registration?

Where Will I Find the Registration Desk?

URMIA's Registration Desk will be located on the hotel’s second floor in the Grand Ballroom Foyer. This should be your first stop after you arrive at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. This is where you’ll get your name badge, ribbons, conference bag filled with the conference schedule notebook and gifts, and more. The Registration Desk will be staffed from Sunday through Thursday. See the full schedule for daily hours.

May I Bring Guests?

Guests, age 16 and older, may attend our special events and activities for an additional fee. First, register for yourself and then register each of your guests separately.

What Conference Policies Should I Understand?

URMIA is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all event/meeting participants and URMIA staff. Please read the Event Safety & Responsibility Policy.

Policy Highlights
  • Attendees of any conference session or activity must wear the official name badge. Badges are closely monitored to prevent unauthorized persons from participating.
  • Photographs, audio recordings, and videos may be taken on site by URMIA or its agents and employees during the event. By registering for this meeting, you grant permission to URMIA to use images or audio recordings captured during the conference for its educational and/or marketing purposes.

See all conference policies.

What Should Attendees Wear?

We recommend business casual attire for the conference and, because hotel meeting spaces can sometimes be chilly, a sweater or light jacket. Please check the Boston forecast shortly before your arrival for outdoor conditions, which can vary widely in September. You can check out how attendees at previous conferences dressed on our Flickr account.

Opening Reception

Some attendees like to participate in an URMIA tradition of wearing one’s past or present school spirit clothing to the Opening Reception. Our business partner “affiliate” members are also welcome to wear logowear.

Evening with the Kennedys

We encourage attendees to ramp up the fun and “dress like a Kennedy” for the Evening with the Kennedys. Watch for ideas we’ll be sharing.
