  • Seeking Board Nominations Now

Applications and nominations are being accepted through July 15, 2020, for four URMIA board positions to be held by institutional members. The voice of every single person in our community counts. We welcome nominations of diverse candidates who bring a wide perspective to the board. See the URMIA Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion.
  • 2020 URMIA Virtual Conference

We are excited to announce more details about URMIA live! 2020: A Conference Gone Virtual to be held half days on September 10, 15, 23, and 29. Special preconference activities will be offered throughout the day on September 9. You can save the date(s) now by downloading each of these daily events directly into your calendar from the URMIA events calendar. We understand that this professional development opportunity is important for you, and we also are sensitive to the reality that higher education is facing uncertainty and possible financial challenges in this moment. With deep gratitude to our affiliate members and URMIA sponsors for their unwavering support, we will be able to offer the virtual conference registration at a very affordable price. Also, registration will open before June 30 to give you the flexibility to use current fiscal year funds.
  • COVID-19 Conversations

These live online meetings offer a valuable space for members to hold real-time discussions and share resources about how to navigate the impact of COVID-19 on higher education. The topics have ranged from recovery without insurance and budget preparation to coping with a virtual work world and reopening the campus. Each meeting is recorded and is made available in the URMIA Library, along with an edited chat log and other resources. Notes about the discussion are posted in a thread on the URMIAnetwork, where the conversation continues.

As these just-in-time meetings develop, they are listed in the Events Calendar. Upcoming COVID-19 Conversations are visible to URMIA members who are logged in to the website.

Hundreds of members representing a broad spectrum of institutions have participated already in one or more of our COVID-19 Conversations. As one participant put it, "Keep sharing with URMIA peers. URMIA is our own little community of trust."
