Bio

""Sarah Gallop is Co-Director of Government and Community Relations at MIT. She serves as a liaison to the Cambridge government and community, working with residents, public officials, businesses, regulatory bodies, nonprofit agencies, and advocacy organizations on topics that comprise MIT’s “Town-Gown” relationship with the City of Cambridge. Sarah’s areas of focus are land use, development, housing, economic development, sustainability, transportation, taxation, and other public policy matters that impact MIT and Cambridge. In the community, Sarah is a founding board member and current Board Chair of the Kendall Square Association, a board member and former Chair of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Cambridge Community Foundation, a corporator of the East Cambridge Savings Bank, a member of the Cambridge Community Television Advisory Committee and a member and former president of the Rotary Club. Prior to taking her position at MIT, Sarah worked in the Boston city government in a variety of capacities related to housing, construction, and community and economic development. Sarah earned her BA in political science at Bates College, and her MBA in public management at Boston University.""
