Bio

Christine Sprovieri has over two decades of experience managing complex, cross-disciplinary initiatives in international higher education. As Director of International Travel Management at Brown University, Christine develops University-wide travel policies and oversees international health, safety and security and risk mitigation for Brown’s global travelers. Christine also has extensive experience working and studying in Europe, South America, and Africa through developing training programs as a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo, teaching English in Brazil and Colombia, and managing HIV/AIDS training initiatives in Botswana and Uganda. Christine holds a BA in Political Science and International Affairs, an MS in International Relations with a concentration in Global Student Mobility, and is currently pursuing her EdD in International Higher Education Administration. She also chairs the Academia Sector Committee of the State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), is a member of Pulse-Higher Education International Health and Safety Professionals, served on the Forum on Education Abroad/NAFSA joint task force to revise the publication, ""Responsible Education Abroad: Best Practices for Health, Safety and Security,"" and was awarded a Fulbright grant to Germany as part of the International Education Administrators Program.
