Heather has been GVSU’s Risk Manager since April, 2018. Prior to moving into higher education, and being a Risk Manager, Heather was Senior Vice President of Risk Solutions at WTW. At WTW Heather’s book of business focused on high-revenue Reverse Flow global manufacturing clients as well as government contractors with significant Defense Base Act exposures.
At GVSU, Heather is responsible for the procurement of all of the institution’s non-benefit-related insurance products, and management of all related claims. Using a consultative and service delivery model, Heather works with all internal and external stakeholders to proactively protect the human, financial, and physical assets of the University from adverse outcomes associated with unanticipated losses. Finally, Heather sits on the Board of MUSIC, the Michigan University Self Insurance Corporation, and chairs that entity’s Claims & Loss Control Committee.
