Craig McAllister is the Assistant Vice President of Risk Management for the University of Miami for the past three years. He was previously at Cornell University for 18 years in a similar role and has over 25 years of risk management experience in both industry and higher education. Craig’s duties include providing strategic risk management direction for the University and advice, training, and consultation to the academic and medical units of the institution. Craig has oversight for the University’s Enterprise Risk Management Program, the self-insured and purchased property, liability, medical malpractice and workers compensation programs, including management of claims. Craig is a regular presenter at national conferences, he is the past president of the Upstate NY Chapter of RIMS, a board member of the Greater Miami Chapter of RIMS and has served on the Board of URMIA since 2017. Craig holds the CPCU, ARM, AIC and AIS designations.
