Colorado Robertson serves as the Associate Director of Risk Management at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (LSU), the flagship University of the State of Louisiana and a member of the URMIA Board of Directors. Colorado has been a part of the LSU community for more than thirteen years. He began as a student, but now leads many of the University’s Risk Management initiatives. He has coordinated the exit of LSU’s insurance programs from the Louisiana State Office of Risk Management, which has allowed the University, for the first time, to manage its risk financing programs, resulting in significant savings and better coverage for the University’s faculty, staff and students. He has also been instrumental in growing the LSU Office of Risk Management since autonomy from the state. For his efforts and unique approach, Colorado was named a 2016 Risk All Star by Risk and Insurance Magazine. Colorado is a Certified Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Counselor and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and a Masters of Public Administration from LSU.
