In this session, we will explore the creation of the lead student life risk management specialist role and how it supports risk mitigation strategies within college and university student life. We will discuss the development and implementation of key policies and procedures that promote student safety at large-scale events and gatherings, including demonstrations and protests, as well as student organization travel. Attendees will gain insights into our holistic approach, which includes overseeing risk management plans, creating event response teams, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The presentation will also cover our collaborative methods with campus stakeholders to ensure a proactive risk mitigation strategy.
