Since 2021 Paul has served as the Senior Director of Risk Management at Baylor University. He oversees the university's risk management department, which consists of Risk Management, ERM and Youth Protection. Prior to joining Baylor, he was Director of Risk Management at TCU for over 14 years. While there he assisted with and directed all aspects of the risk management process including safety, EH&S and hazardous materials. Prior to joining TCU, he was the risk manager for a prominent Dallas-based real estate company and managed the workers' compensation program for an international flight food service company.
Paul served as Finance Chair from 2018-2021 and continues as a committee member. Prior to that he has been an active member of URMIA and attended conferences each year, has spoken at 5 conferences on topics including Cyber, Property, athletics and more. Additionally, Paul has an active leadership role (Sponsorship Chair) for the 2024 Annual Conference in New Orleans, and most recently has been interviewed in the URMIA Matters podcast (Spotlight on Volunteers). Paul would like to see the association continue to focus on increasing membership, create organic leadership growth opportunities and put a concentration on educational topics guided by top risks identified by URMIA members.
