Bio

Katherine Cleaver joined the University in 2001. She has been with the University for 19 years and currently serves as the Executive Director for the Environmental Health & Safety Department. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Hazardous Materials Management with an emphasis in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Findlay in 1999. She also received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Dayton in 2020. Katherine leads a team of four amazing and talented professionals to ensure protection of human health and the environment for the University of Dayton and surrounding communities. The EHS programs support the University’s core mission by safeguarding the safety of, and reducing the risk to, the University community. The EHS team actively implements preventative education, responds to ongoing needs, and thoroughly monitors conditions that might interfere with the health and well-being of the campus community. We emphasize that health and safety, loss prevention and environmental protection must be foremost on the minds of all those who call on or serve the University.
