Elect Your 2026-2027 Leaders

URMIA hosts elections annually to select a new president-elect and a specific number of board of directors members based on the director positions whose terms are expiring. The 2026 election for URMIA's Board of Directors takes place July 8-29, 2026. Each member organization has one designated "Voting Member" who is eligible to vote in this election.

If a proxy needs to be named to enable the organization to vote, see/complete our proxy nomination form.

Voting Invitations

Voting members should look for an email from invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com after 2:00pm ET on July 8, 2026.

What Voting Members Will Decide in 2026

Elect a president-elect who will serve as president after a year in the president-elect role
Elect two board of directors members who are from institutional members and will start a three-year term on the board at the 57th Annual Conference in Philadelphia

Vote By Proxy

An URMIA voting member may choose to name a proxy to vote on their behalf in the URMIA election for 2026. Reasons for naming a proxy could include, but are not limited to:

Someone else on the URMIA membership roster for your organization is more involved with URMIA and/or has a better knowledge of the candidates and URMIA’s structure, mission, etc.
You will not be available during the election period to review the information and cast a vote

A voting member may name a proxy for their vote by completing this form and URMIA will transfer your vote to the designated proxy.
