How Did You Find Your Way into Higher Ed Risk Management
I was working in the insurance industry and was completing my CRM designation. One of the instructors in the class was a risk manager at a university, and I was fascinated! I kept my eye out for positions, and one opened up at my local university.
What Motivated You to Volunteer with URMIA
URMIA has been such a great resource for me through my journey of becoming a university risk manager, that I felt I needed to support the organization in a way so that it can continue to benefit newer risk managers.
Describe an URMIA Experience That Stands Out to You
My second week as a university risk manager was spent at the 2017 URMIA Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. I was blown away at how collaborative and helpful the community was. I had never seen a conference provide so much value to attendees.
What's Your Favorite Way to Unwind Outside of Work?
I love to cook! Spending time in the kitchen trying new recipes is a great way to relax.
