Join presenters from Auburn University's Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) Team for an overview of how concerning behaviors can signal an individual's progression along the pathway to violence. Participants will learn the difference between distal and proximal behaviors and why they matter in threat assessment. The session will highlight examples of these behaviors and their connection to targeted violence. Presenters will also discuss practical strategies that can be used to intervene and mitigate risk. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how early recognition and proactive response can support safer campus and workplace environments.
