Cathy serves as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management of at the University of Arkansas where she is working to implement enterprise risk management. Cathy began her career in university risk management at the University of Oklahoma in September of 2020. She has also worked as the Assistant Vice President of Risk Management at LSU. Prior to coming to the University of Oklahoma, Cathy worked for nearly seventeen years both as an attorney and as a manager at Great West Casualty Company, an Old Republic International subsidiary. During her time at Great West Casualty Company, Cathy had an opportunity to work with trucking companies to assess and address risk as well as offer claims handling advice. Further, Cathy has been an instructor for the University of Tennessee’s Kids U summer program for the past 15 years. Since November 2018, Cathy has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Society of Claims Law Associates and currently serves as the Board’s Executive Vice President. Cathy holds a Law Degree from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee. She has also earned several designations including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in Claims Management (AIC-M), Supervisory Management (SM), and Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA).
