With enterprise-wide oversight for Risk Management, Treasury, Insurance and Claims, Lisa Zimmaro is the Associate Vice President, Risk Management & Treasury for Temple University. Ms. Zimmaro joined Temple in 2009 and is responsible for the University’s domestic and international property and casualty insurance programs. Additionally, Ms. Zimmaro oversees University banking and treasury management, tracking cash flow, liquidity and foreign exchange operations. Ms. Zimmaro is also an Adjunct Professor in the Risk Management and Insurance Department at the Temple’s Fox School of Business. Before joining Temple University, she was the Risk Manager at Princeton University for 6 years, managing workers comp, property, casualty, and D&O claims. Prior to that she managed claims for a medical malpractice insurance company where her clients were hospitals and the medical providers the hospitals employed.
Ms. Zimmaro currently serves on the board of a Vermont-based Risk Retention Group and formerly on the boards of two Bermuda-based Captives. She was elected to the board of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) for two three-year terms, ending in 2019. A frequent speaker, Ms. Zimmaro has presented nationally on risk management, ERM and treasury topics.
Ms. Zimmaro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Holy Family University with a degree in Humanities and from Temple University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
