Chauncey Fagler was named the executive director of the Florida College System Risk Management Consortium (FCSRMC) in 2007. The consortium manages the cooperative insurance program for the state's 27 public colleges under one statewide plan inclusive of property, workers' compensation, liability, employee benefit plans, and other programs. Mr. Fagler joined the consortium in 2002 and was its associate director previously.
In 2011-2012, Mr. Fagler served as president of the Florida Education Risk Management Association (FERMA) and has served on the FERMA Executive Board and Committees for seven years. Additionally, Mr. Fagler is a member of URMIA and the Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS). Mr. Fagler was a study team member on a national white paper for college and university risk managers entitled Natural Catastrophes hosted by Arthur J. Gallagher & Company. In February 2013, he was interviewed by Risk Insurance magazine for the article, "A Challenging Year." He is also a past-president and current board member of the University of Florida's (UF) F Club, an extension of Gator Boosters, which oversees the induction of athletes into its Hall of Fame. He also served as a board member of the UF Swimming and Diving Splash Club and was elected to the school board of Southwest Licking County (Ohio). A four-year letter winner and All American swimmer for UF, Mr. Fagler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising. He has earned the Associate in Risk Management (ARM-P) designation and licenses from the Florida Department of Insurance in Life, Health, and Variable Annuity. Mr. Fagler is also a former licensed securities broker.
Prior to joining FCSRMC, Mr. Fagler spent two years with Edward Jones as a financial advisor. From 1984 through 2001, he had a long career in specialty retail management, overseeing purchasing, administrative services, and store planning for the brand division Structure of The Limited Inc., Ann Taylor, Lord & Taylor, and K-mart. At Structure, Mr. Fagler was regional manager of the Southeast US and director of administrative services in the corporate offices.
Personally, Fagler is the Missions Team leader at the Family Church in Gainesville, where he resides with his wife of 28 years, Rose. They have two older daughters; Lauren (25) and Sarah (23).
