Bret has 30+ years in the insurance and risk management industry both as an agency owner/broker/consultant, as SVP-Operations of one of the largest construction companies in Illinois and on the insurance company side. For 3+ years, Bret was a Director at Munich Re/Hartford Steam Boiler in their Loss Control Engineering and Innovation/Internet of Things divisions. In March 2019, Bret was recruited to stand up the Hartford IoT Innovation Lab. The goal of the team was to research, test, and pilot IoT technologies to reduce and/or eliminate claims, losses, and damages to Hartford customer’s businesses. In October 2021 Insight Risk Technologies was formed to bundle IoT Loss Prevention technologies with quality insurance coverage for the Builder’s Risk insurance market. By utilizing the best technology and more specifically, Internet of Things devices and data, we prevent, reduce and mitigate losses for multiple industries including construction, property and many more for commercial and institutional property owners.
