Bio

Ms. Davis Curtis currently oversees the HUB Education Specialty Practice serving as the strategic partner throughout HUB International. She drives the vision, overall strategy and brand for the practice. Additionally, Courtney fosters a collaborate and boundaryless approach to resource sharing and best practices within the HUB Education Specialty Practice. Ms. Davis Curtis ensures the development of products, services, and resources aligned with meeting the identified needs and emerging issues of educational institutions. She establishes a positive culture dependent on maximizing the strength of practice members. Courtney has over 17 years of experience in risk management, resilience planning and insurance for the education industry. Most recently, Courtney was the Assistant Vice President for Risk Management and Resilience Planning at the University of Chicago for nine years with an enterprise that also included an academic medical center, clinically integrated network, community hospital, marine biological laboratory, three charter K-12 schools and one private N-12 school, and several global centers and institutes. Previously, Courtney was an insurance brokerage for eight years at two different firms in their respective education practices serving in account executive and placement roles. Courtney has served as served as Past President of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) and held board positions at United Educators and two captive insurance companies. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In addition, Courtney has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Risk Management-ERM (ARM-E) designations. Courtney is recipient of the 2023 University of Chicago John W. Rogers, Jr. Business Diversity Impact; RIMS Risk Management of the Year 2022; 2020 Business Insurance Women to Watch; 2017 Business Insurance Break Out; and 2015 Risk & Insurance Power Broker awards.
