Bio

Jennifer Santiago has 20 years of risk management and insurance industry experience from the private, not-for-profit and for-profit company perspective. She is currently serving as Assistant Vice President & Chief Risk Officer of The Pennsylvania State University. Penn State is a major academic research center ranking in the top 1% of the world’s universities with 24 campuses and 100,000 students worldwide. As CRO, Jennifer leads the University's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, risk & control oversight, insurance, risk financing, captive and contract management. Previously, Jennifer spent nine years working for Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation leading in the areas of risk management, insurance and ERM. Her experience also includes risk management roles at NYU Medical Center, Arthur J Gallagher Risk Management Services and Ingersoll Rand. Jennifer has served on the Board of Directors of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) since 2014. She also serves as a Member of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Advisory Council at George Mason University.
