In his 30th year as an employee at Cornerstone, Scott is responsible for establishing accounting procedures and controls, managing endowment and restricted funds, trust fund accounting & tax reporting, and fixed asset management. He is also responsible for the property and liability insurance program, internal control policies and procedures, supervising a staff of four full-time employees who handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, Title IV accounting and bank statement reconciliations. He works closely with the auditors in preparing annual financial statements, calculates and presents key financial ratios to management, works closely with the CFO to prepare financial reports, prepares the annual Form 990, and works with IPEDS reporting. In addition to these duties, Scott works with departments throughout the campus to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
