Jacquelynn Kittel

Bio

Jacquelynn Kittel is an Assistant General Counsel at Michigan State University (MSU) where she primarily advises on Freedom of Information Act compliance, Clery Act compliance, Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act compliance, international matters, governmental affairs, and other transactional matters. Since joining MSU in 2016, Jackie has worked collaboratively with various campus partners to ensure compliance with the Clery Act and associated regulations. Her experience includes gathering crime statistics and disciplinary referral data; preparing, publishing, and distributing the annual security and fire safety report; working with the University’s police department to ensure proper classification of crimes and implementation of emergency response procedures; educating and training University staff on Clery Act requirements; identifying and training Campus Security Authorities; responding to a Department of Education Clery Act program review; and previously serving as the University’s Clery Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University Chicago and her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law.
