Tara George-Jones began her career with West Virginia University in 1996, as an Administrative Assistant within the Office of Disability Services. Throughout her WVU career she has held different positions, including a managerial position within the Education Abroad Office (2001-2016).
Currently, she oversees the International Risk Management of all WVU campuses (2016). This position also includes a role in the Strategic Planning and Development under WVU’s Vice President for Global Affairs. Tara is a graduate of Fairmont State University (WV) in Music Education. She has been involved in NAFSA, the Gilman Scholarship Committee, and the WV Higher Education Policy Commission Internationalization Committee. She has presented at conferences for Terra Dotta, NAFSA, ISEP and the University of Guanajuato.
