David Randall

Senior Associate Dean – Student Support & Wellbeing

Bio

David Randall is a Senior Associate Dean and head of Student Support and Wellbeing in the Division of Student Life. Student Support and Wellbeing is here to support all MIT students. There are five different offices in this department including Student Support Services, Disability and Access Services, Violence Prevention and Response, Alcohol and Other Drug Services, and the CARE Team. David has been at MIT for 15 years, working as an Assistant Dean in Student Support Services from 2005-2010 and then directing the office from 2010-2016. David earned his BA from Colgate University and his PhD in clinical psychology from Penn State University. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has worked in a group private practice as well as other universities including Fairfield University in their counseling center. In his spare time, he chases his three boys (and dog) around and cheers for his beloved New York Yankees.
