As the Vice President of Administrative Services, Dr. Marcella Elliott-Ferguson has oversight for the following departments; Enterprise Risk Management, University Athletics, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Institutional Research, Recruitment & Admissions and the Registrar Office.
Dr. Elliott-Ferguson began her professional career at the College of The Bahamas now University of The Bahamas in 1986 as a faculty member in the Mathematics department. For over 30 years she has served the institution in various capacities as faculty member and senior administrator.
She currently serves as the chair of UB’s campus-wide COVID-19 Task Force that has oversight for the plans for returning to the campus under the new norms to ensure successful academic, administrative and operational functions.
A proud alumna of UB where she earned an Associate of Science Degree in Physics with Mathematics, Dr. Elliott-Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from McGill University, Canada, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Miami. She is a consultant in Mathematics Education to both public and private institutions. She also serves as a volunteer with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Bahamas Red Cross.
