A Look at URMIA Leaders Completing Their Terms of Office
Five loyal, hard-working URMIA members have served the organization on the URMIA Board of Directors and are seeing their terms conclude during the 2024 Annual Conference in New Orleans.
Julie Groves, Wake Forest University
As immediate past president, Julie Groves will finish up seven years on the URMIA Board of Directors having served the last three years as president-elect, president, and immediate past president. Prior to the officer positions, Groves served four years as a director on the board.
Steven Stoeger-Moore, Districts Mutual Insurance & Risk Management Services
The parliamentarian’s role is to manage the meetings of the board of directors per Robert’s Rules of Order and Steve Stoeger-Moore has served the organization very well in this role for the past 6 years.
Stacie Kroll, Gallagher
Stacie Kroll has served on the board of directors representing the affiliate members in the designated board seat for affiliates. Kroll has served on the board of directors for six years, but only served in the affiliate member seat for one three-year term. Prior to the designated affiliate seat, Kroll was a member of the board representing an institutional member.
Kim Nimmo, Lehigh University
Finishing up a three-year term on the board is Kim Nimmo who was elected to the governing body in 2021.
Mellany Patrong, Prairie View A&M University
Mellany Patrong is completing her one-year appointment to the board of directors fulfilling a vacancy on the governing body that was created when Sandy Mitchell was elected to the president-elect position in 2023.
The organization is very grateful for the service these members have provided to URMIA.
