Antoneile Brown is a Risk Officer in the Office of Administration at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Regional Headquarters, Jamaica, where he supports senior leadership in strengthening governance, risk culture, and institutional resilience.
He is an astute risk management professional with experience across higher education, financial services, and public administration. Mr. Brown specializes in integrating enterprise risk management into strategic planning and operational decision-making, translating complex risk issues into clear, actionable insights for leaders.
Prior to joining UWI, Mr. Brown served as Enterprise Risk Management Officer – Strategic and Operational Risks at Sagicor Group, a multinational financial services conglomerate operating in 22 countries across the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United States. In this role, he partnered with business units to embed risk management into strategic planning and operational decision-making. He also held the position of Senior Taxpayer Service Officer at Tax Administration Jamaica, where his responsibilities included oversight of tax operations. Earlier in his career, he developed strong client-centric and operational leadership skills in retail banking at the National Commercial Bank.
Beyond his professional practice, Mr. Brown is committed to leadership and human capital development. He serves as a lecturer and course assessor at the HEART NSTA Trust, Jamaica’s national vocational training agency, where he designs and delivers business administration and management programmes that equip learners with practical leadership and management competencies.
Mr. Brown holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Wales (UK), a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of the West Indies, and a Professional Certificate in Strategic Management from the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean.
