Mauricio Jimenez serves as Director of Global Safety for Penn State Global, where he leads efforts to protect the health, safety, and security of approximately 8,000 Penn State international travelers each year. A New Jersey native, he graduated from Penn State in 1991 with a B.S. in Psychology and later served in the U.S. Army.
Mauricio spent 24 years with the Drug Enforcement Administration, serving in investigative and leadership roles across the United States and collaborating extensively with international partners. He returned to Penn State in 2021 and now applies more than three decades of leadership, security, and global experience to support the university’s worldwide community.
