Jabari serves as the Executive Director of Risk Management & Insurance at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, where he has spent the past 13 years in the Systems Office. Prior to joining the College, he held several positions in the private sector focused on personal lines insurance, including property & casualty insurance and employee benefits. He earned a bachelor's degree in risk management & insurance from Indiana State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, he is a licensed Property & Casualty Producer through the Indiana Department of Insurance. Jabari has over 20 years of industry experience.
In his current role, Jabari oversees the daily risk management and insurance needs for the College, the College Foundation, and affiliated groups with insurable interests. He also co-chairs the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, collaborating with every department at Ivy Tech—from senior leaders to part-time maintenance staff and students—on various topics related to insurance, risk management, and loss control. Jabari finds great satisfaction in his work, as each day presents a new challenge, allowing him to contribute to the safety and compliance of College operations.
